We celebrated Topi's 3rd birthday with a sausage-oatmeal cake. Topi has moved to adulthood now officially. He's been acting accordingly for sometime now, probably because of the "little sister" Supa. We have some doubts if the junior in our family will ever start to be an adult. ; )

It´s the beginning of a new year, so it´s good to look back and see what´s happened and also plan for this year.

Last year was a quiet one especially with training because owner was ill still. Dogs had a lot of forest walks where they could roam around freely. Topi passed his Finnish mentality test. We went for a few dog shows also, Topi had his 3rd CAC and became Finnish champion and Supa got her first CAC. In summer we went to Sweden and participated in MH-tests with both dogs. We also brought back with us one of Topi's puppies, Jeppe.

To owner one of the years biggest things was when we went to practice herding with Supa. The training went well and the owner learnt a lot of herding basics.

We also heard news from Topi's and Supa's breeder. Topi's brother Gayley has continued his success in dog shows and gained also a title in herding, he has now a PT-title. Gayley has also had his hip and elbow examns. He has Good hips and healthy elbows. One of Topi's sisters has also been checked for hips, with result Good.

Because the owner liked so much of herding, we will continue to practise it in the summer with both dogs. Our training place is Kuttukuu's goat and sheep farm, where we will go for a ovenight camps for couple of times. I hope I could get a HCT-title for Supa next summer. We will see how it goes. We also plan to visit Sweden next summer, where Jeppe should take his MH-test. We will probably see the other puppies there as well.

Originally the plan was to have a summer breeding with Supa. But because the summer will be so busy and there may be too little time for Supa to have her Finnish mentality test, we plan to have the breeding next winter instead.
